What a dreary world without poetry.
Without expression,
without passion, humor
a place for righteous indignation
to burn like a flame–
lifeless
gray and
lockstep.
Poetry–
not what turned you off
in high school,
but the rich voices of today
varied in tone and delivery
experience
speaking truths.
